Serving the Community

Ken has been working tirelessly to make Esquimalt a better place.    

  • Chair of the Esquimalt Advisory Planning Commission, which provides advice to the Esquimalt Council on land use issues, community planning, proposed bylaws, rezoning, official community plan amendments and development permit applications
  • Vice President of the Esquimalt Chamber of Commerce, whose mandate is to help businesses start, run and grow in Esquimalt
  • Former Vice President of the Township Community Arts Council, which advocates for and promotes Esquimalt artists and their works and which supports access for Esquimalt residents to arts in their own community

Skills and Experience

  • 25 years successfully developing and implementing economic and social policies and programs at the management level in the BC and federal governments
  • Education includes a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, a Bachelor of Education, and a Masters of Public Administration
  • Former President of the Victoria chapter of the Institute of Public Administration of Canada, whose mandate is to support public service excellence
  • Enjoys reading, running, cycling, hiking and travelling
  • Lives with his wife and his cat in the Rockheights area of Esquimalt
